Double the pleasure, double the fun at triple the cost

Here is the newest member of our stroller family.  Yes, this makes…..number 5.  Seems ridiculous, I know.   BUT, I use them all.  :)  I promise.

I got a great deal on this beauty.  My friend told me about a site that resells NEW items that have been sent back to internet vendors & those vendors can't re-sell them as 'new,' so this third party http://www.babyboutiqueoutlet.com/ sells new items that have never been used.  Their products change all of the time, so you have to check back often to get what you want.

I did tons of research, pushed lots and lots of strollers and decided for as much as I walk (when it's not 100+ degrees), it's worth it.  Plus, I'll be able to sell it on Craigslist when I'm done with it and probably make money or break even at the very least.

Anywho….I present to you Stroller #5, the Bumbleride….the ride of your life as the box suggests!

It was a gorgeous morning to get out and enjoy the Thomas the Train festivities in Burnet, TX!  Here we are at the entrance to the event.

Anticipation is mounting....

As requested, we got a monkey in a coconut tree!  It ended up popping right before we got on the train and Goldilocks was terribly upset.

It was fun while it lasted though!

I think this was the 'going backwards' portion of the train ride....not too exciting.

Oliver caught a few winks on the ride! Like I said, not too exciting!

Little Miss OCD was concerned about the train whistle hurting her ears!

Lost Pines Resort

For our 10th Anniversary, we booked a little trip to the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort south of Austin.  We went at the perfect 'down' time--most kids were in school and it was before Labor Day weekend.  We practically had the whole place to ourselves and it was fantastic!  Being the expert traveler that the Wizard is, he got us upgraded to a 'junior suite' when he told them we were celebrating our anniversary.  Not too shabby, eh?

The resort has a beach area with a zero entry pool, lazy river and water slide.  Marin cried the first time she went down the slide, but after that initial ride, she couldn’t wait for more!IMG_4381IMG_4250IMG_4253IMG_4254IMG_4255IMG_4257

Bike riding was a hit too!

Hands down, our favorite activity was eating s’mores every night.  Marin made fast friends with the guys who handed out the supplies and they knew her by name by the end of our stay.

The days that followed involved lots more swimming and sliding.

On our last day, Marin got to meet Ribeye, the longhorn.  He was all saddled up and ready to give rides.

We had such a great time and it was amazing to feel far away from home when we were less than an hour away.  We hope to go back again next year!

How did 10 years pass so quickly?
