Our 'little' man has had a big month. He learned to crawl just a few days shy of turning eight months. He has been sitting up, rolling, pushing up and rocking getting ready for this big event and now it's here. No army crawling...no 'scooting'…..just full speed ahead CRAWLING. This creates endless opportunities for him now that he's mobile!
Eight months old with Teddy.

He's working on getting some new teeth. So far he has four--two bottoms, two tops.

Ready for a change of scenery!

And…we're all done here!

He loves to play with these wooden blocks. He pounds them together, sucks on them, throws them, etc. Of course, this is a very big nuisance to his big sister who has a hard time sharing her toys.

Sloan's a pretty good napper during the day generally taking a 2 hour nap in the morning and 1.5-2 hour nap in the afternoon. He's trying to drop that dinnertime third nap which has messed up his nighttime sleep, but it seems to be getting better now. Without his dinnertime nap, he was falling asleep around 7:30 and waking up at 10:00ish thinking that was just a 'nap' and then was staying up until 11:30 or so. He's lucky he's so stinkin' CUTE!

Here's a good shot of those two top teeth--they're huge! Just north of those two huge teeth is the gash he put in his lip pulling up on the train table and then crashing down. Poor baby…I'm guessing this won't be his last war wound.

He's pulling up on anything he can find…dresser knobs included.

In motion….

Big stretch to pull up on the bottom of our bed.

Off to find something else...

like the DOG!! He loves Parker! Jason & I think Sloan's first sign will be 'dog.' He gets so excited when he sees Parker and when we ask, "Where's Parker?" Sloan starts smiling and looking around.

We love this age/stage…it's so much fun to watch our sweet baby learning something new each day and loving every minute of it. We are having the Ma-ma/Da-da war right now. Sloan is really close to uttering his first words…I'm hoping for a big, loud MA-MA soon! :)
