Hello, Daddy!

When Daddy is on the road, he's very good about calling us first thing in the morning. This month Marin started shouting, "Helloooo? Daddy?" each time the phone rang. She misses him so much when he's gone, but certainly looks forward to his calls.

In like a LION, out like a lamb...

Marin loves to swing ('Wheee as she would say!) The kid can spot a swingset from a mile away and will scream until you take her there. So, it was to our great delight when our generous neighbors gave us their Little Tikes swingset. Many hours (already) have been spent pushing her in this little swing. I guess it's the simple pleasures in life that are the best! Wheeee!

Let it snow, sista!

After being snowed in (under about 3 feet of snow) at Christmastime in Nebraska, this 'dusting' of Texas snow wasn't terribly exciting for us, but we had to get bundled up and check it out anyway. What's cuter than a kid who can barely move in her outerwear? I was very clever and left Marin's snow pants and boots in Nebraska since it NEVER snows in Texas! :0)
