Happy Valentine's Day!

Flowers from a very special boy named Daddy!

"Step back, Parker. These roses are all mine!"

Marin loves her new rolling pony and stroller!

The balloon was actually a bigger hit than the toys...go figure!

Just like Daddy

Jason's dad did a side-by-side comparison of Marin and Jason at 18 months. Their facial features are almost identical!
Nice duds, Jason! You were as cute then as you are now!

18 months old

If you look closely, you can see Marin sporting her FOUR new molars. We can't wait until the teething gig is behind us. Let me take this opportunity to say, "Thanks for your help, Motrin."

On a side note, this cute little 'm' tee was made by one of my friends at Petite Pineapples. Check out her blog petitepineapples.blogspot.com for cute t-shirts, skirts, pillow dresses, tu-tus, etc.

Good Earth Day School

There's a great little farm school near where we live that invites the public in to pet and feed their animals for a couple of bucks. I think it's the best deal around as it speaks to my farm girl/teacher background. They have a little daycare and preschool where they teach the kids about raising animals, planting a garden, cooking healthy meals, etc. Marin loved our outing until one of the over-friendly sheep decided to nibble on more than just the pellets she was feeding him! The horse with no teeth was more her speed...

Miss Piggy with a Pigtail!

Marin loves her new piggy pajamas and she tolerated a pigtail for these three pictures before yanking it out!

Ain't nothin' like greyhound

Our friends rescued this greyhound, Nevada, years ago. He was a racing dog and after he 'retired' from his racing career, he had to find a suitable home. He won the jackpot until these toddlers came into his life! Thanks for being such a gentle boy, Nevada!

Texas Memorial Museum

We took a weekend outing with our friends to the Texas Memorial Museum. It was a chilly day, so it was the perfect way to spend an afternoon. Here's Marin with her main man, Oliver.

Marin loves balls, so naturally this spinning globe was a hit!

Being silly with Oliver....

Checking out fish fossils with Daddy.

Extreme Fun

We escaped the cold and played indoors (with 100 other families that had the same idea) at an 'inflatable wonderland.' It was fun until a ten-year old jumped on Marin in the foam pit! Oh well, it's tough to be one. Despite getting clobbered, a good time was had by all!

Morning Paper and Coffee, er Milk

Marin took a little break from her breakfast this morning to read the local ads to find a deal. :) What a great bargain shopper!

Dallas Zoo

We spent Thanksgiving weekend in Dallas and took a short hike around the zoo. We were a bit disappointed that there were many empty cages and not too much to see. The highlight was a carousel ride at the end of the day.

Pumpkin Patch

For Jason's birthday, we drove out to Elgin to take in some fun fall festivities at a little farm. It started raining right when we arrived, but after chasing some kittens around in a shed and a BBQ lunch, the rain stopped and we were able to check out the animals and pumpkins!

Pumpkin Patch #2

Marin had great fun today with her friends at the YMCA Pumpkin Patch. Notice the sleeveless non-Halloweeny shirt? Yep, it was over 90 degrees today and her cute long-sleeve pumpkin shirt stayed in the closet. As you can see from the smile on her face, her attire didn't matter!
