A Favorite 'New' Park

I heard great things about Berry Springs Park in Georgetown, so we decided to check it out last weekend.  The main attractions are two donkeys name Poco and Amigo.  Marin had a blast feeding them!

Pure excitement!

She's on her balance bike cruising down a little slope.

Feet out and gliding all the way down!  These little bikes are amazing!

There was a little bit of everything at this park…

Marin is checking out the tadpoles in the pond.

Sloan was happy to be on the bridge looking down at the water.

He has a small obsession with his belly right now...

and his belly button!

Have I mentioned that he loves to climb?

Have I mentioned that I love this little nugget?

Checking out the donkeys with Da-da.

We enjoyed a picnic lunch.  Can you believe we all wore a jacket to the park in APRIL??  Yay!

This kid loves to swing!

This kid will not swing.

One last carrot before we hit the road made everyone happy…especially Amigo!

Ordinary Day at Home

These pictures of Sloan 'drawing' remind me so much of Marin at this age.
He has really good fine motor skills…his gross motor is pretty stellar too--this kid can climb!

He can identify the letter 'o', so when he draws/scribbles he'll say, "Ohhhhhhhh."

Big sister is growing up!  She has started reading a few simple books and still loves to draw each day.

She has a huge interest in telling time right now--how long things take, when things start/end, how many minutes early or late are we, etc.  It's hard to believe that she could start Kindergarten in the fall.
I'm so happy I get to spend one more year 'at home' with her.

What's a better way to procrastinate doing laundry than to take pictures of your adorable toddler?

He's such a happy little stinker!

Bluebonnet Babies

It has been a lovely spring in Texas.
We've finally gotten some rain and we're still having lots of 70* days!

This means it's picture time in the bluebonnets!

Sloan was cutting four molars and was less than thrilled to be sitting in the grass.

Marin was trying a 'cute' pose!  Good effort.

Once the crying started...

it didn't stop.

Don't mind the drippy nose and swollen gums…check out the bluebonnets in the background!

Breathtaking!

Marin was being a little ham.  So cute!

She was pretending to be a garden ballerina dancing in the flowers.

Poor baby.  It went from bad to worse…in a hurry!

Despite the tears, nothing beats pictures in the wild flowers!

Madeline's Baptism

Marin & Sloan were so excited to finally meet their new baby cousin, Madeline!

We headed to Dallas and stayed at the Embassy Suites in Frisco.

Our room overlooked the baseball field.  It was a really cool view!

If meeting your new cousin or staying in a hotel isn't exciting enough, Marin got to take her class mascot 'Lucky the Zebra' with us!  This was a big deal because Lucky comes with a journal and you have to write  and take pictures of all the fun things you do with Lucky when he visits your house.  Marin was excited that she was going to have an 'awesome' journal because a trip to Dallas is way better than a weekend at home.  :)

This is Sloan's latest trick…we call it 'the booda belly.'  He loves to flash his belly to us and he gets really upset when he is wearing a onesie and can't lift his shirt!  He's a little nut.

Pure joy showing off his goods.

Adoring cousin Lily before Maddie's baptism.

Nothing is prettier than a mama with her new baby!

Madeline was such a good baby and barely squeaked the entire service!

My handsome boys.

My mini-me!

It was a good effort to try to get a family picture...

and again!

One kiddo for each of us to hold!  God is good.

Who says church can't be fun?
These two little princesses certainly enjoyed themselves!

Welcome to the world, Sweet Madeline!
