Who can sleep when there's so much fun to be had?

This little bunny was up before dawn ready to check out her stash from the Easter Bunny.  After she tore through her basket, of course she had to inspect her baby brother's basket to make sure he didn't get anything that SHE wanted!

 Marin was beyond excited!

Sloan was happy just to be outside on a beautiful morning.  

Darn ears.  We couldn't get them to stay up!

 

Sloan was obviously stressed about Marin's bunny ears.  :o

We have a very tricky Easter Bunny!

Sloan found an egg too...

and was very content to shake it for quite some time.

Easter Park Playdate

Thanks to the Balagia Family for organizing a fun morning at the park!

Best friends growing up too quickly.

We have been so blessed to find our sweet playgroup.
  Lots of these little 'babies' will start Kinder in the fall.  How did that happen?

Sloan and Jack weren't fans of the Easter Bunny.
Jack is screaming in this picture & Sloan was attached to my hip crying even from a distance.

It was a great morning and even better afternoon when both kiddos napped.  :)

 

School Egg Hunt

Marin's class had a little egg hunt at the end of their school day.

Each kiddo brought 15 eggs from home and numbered them 1-15.  Then each student was assigned a number to 'hunt' for--it was a great way to make it fair for everyone.  I loved watching all of the kids scramble to find their eggs!

It was like herding cats to get a class picture!

Back in the classroom, everyone counted their eggs and had a little snack.

  

Sloan used the time to get caught up on his emails and other baby business.

Everybody wins today!

High Fives

Our little man is 15 months!

Marin decided that Sloan needed to learn 'high fives.'
So they practiced and giggled together over breakfast one morning.

Sloan would give Marin a high five and then squeal with joy!

Good one, buddy!

It's so fun to see Marin teaching her baby brother new tricks.
She is a very good helper and talks to him sweetly (most of the time).
Nonetheless, he adores her!

I'm sure he'll have a thing or two to teach her soon.  He's been eyeing her blonde pony tail for a long time!

Anatomy

Marin worked on this picture for quite some time.  When she came to show it to me, she said,
"Now Mommy, you need to guess--Is this a boy or a girl?"

Hmmmm…what do you think?

She's going to be a riot by the time she gets to Kindergarten.
