Happy Halloween

Marin wanted to be Minnie Mouse for Halloween, so that meant baby brother would be Mickey Mouse.  She came out for breakfast on Halloween morning dressed as a ladybug and fluttered around most of the day!

The last 3 years we have gone trick-or-treating with the Pzynskis in our neighborhood.  It's always great fun! This year they went ALL out and as a family (grandma & grandpa too!) dressed up as the Scooby Doo clan.  It was hilarious.  Our neighbor, Beth (i.e. The Wolf) has a little party each year so we always start and end our Halloween there.  Marin loves Beth, but is terrified of the wolf costume.
In front of Beth's house getting ready to go!
Our sweet neighbor, Morgan with Marin.
Sweet boys...Sloan was such a good sport.  Fortunately, we had beautiful weather all night.
We love the Pzynskis...er, I mean Daphne and Shaggy.
Jason's best buddy, Chris and his wife-to-be Katie were in town to help us celebrate as well!
This house was decorated so spooky!
Marin and Katie checking out her goodies!
Sloan left his Mickey ears on for about 2 seconds all night and that was it!  These two little loves had such a fun night.

Minnie and Scooby hit every house in our neighborhood!  They were exhausted.
Everybody got to eat a sweet treat before bedtime.

Even Sloan!
 Happy Halloween!

Fall Fest

The past couple of years, I've taken Marin to the Fall Fest in Round Rock.  The theme this year was centered around Dr. Seuss.  Marin has been in love with the Cat in the Hat for some time now, so I knew she'd love it and we didn't want to miss it!

As they say in Texas, "Happy Fall, Y'all!"

If you follow our blog (Hi Mom!!), you may want to glaze over all of my 'catch up' posts.  I have been terrible about updating regularly.  It seems that my lack of blogging coincided with Sloan learning to walk and the holidays and….and….  Things are settling down a bit, so I'm dedicating a little time to writing our story.

---

I look forward to Fall all year long!  I love the cooler weather (although it's not *that* cool in Texas in October) and all of the fun family activities that go with it

Marin had a little party at preschool where they painted a tshirt (Batty about YOU!) and had lots of fun activities.

This was a fun sensory activity where the kids had to dig through the noodles to find spooky spiders.
 They decorated cookies...
with LOTS of frosting and sprinkles.  Of course, Little Miss Sweet Tooth loved this activity!
Mrs. Benge read everyone a cute story.
 Marin adores her teacher.
Look at these adorable kids.  It's such a sweet age!
Happy Fall, Wild Things Class!

A Favorite

Marin and Sloan have been playing in the little cottage so much lately.
Marin will hide inside and jump out to make Sloan giggle or they play peek-a-boo with the swinging door.
I love watching them play together.

Sloan loves to open and close the door...

and give his momma big kisses through the window!  So funny!!

Peek-a-boo, big boy!

Fall Fest at Crowe's Nest Farm

This quaint little farm is a fun place to visit in the fall.  It's run by a former educator and caters to families and school groups to educate them on farm life.  We love it!

My pretty daughter.  When did she get so big?

Sloan slept through the pumpkin pictures, so Marin got her picture with Baby Jack!

These two little girls have big love for each other.

Feeding the goats is always a hit!

Sloan liked them too!

Marin was fascinated with this porcupine.

Love my babies!

A personal favorite of mine…the dairy barn.

The milking demo is an awesome experience for kiddos who don't have the opportunity to grow up in an agricultural setting.  When the farmer put the suction on the cow and the milk started flowing into the tank, the crowd oohed and ahhhed in amazement.  That made me giggle…what were they expecting?

Here's the crowd in awe of 'Bella' the Jersey cow who gave 6 gallons of milk.  Good cow.

We took a little tractor ride to see the buffalo.

Shhhh….don't disrupt the animals!

Nothing is better than a day on the farm and a daddy snuggling his baby.

As they say in Texas, "Happy Fall y'all!"
