9 months old

Oh my goodness…nine months already??  Fewer things in life are as sweet as a baby at this age…except possibly a know-it-all four-year old girl!  :)

Here are a few things our little man is doing:

-He's signing fan, dog, daddy/mama, all done.

-He's a fast, fast crawler and pulling up on everything.

-He loves to follow his sister around and play with her toys.

-He's a very good eater. He's eating lots of table food that I mash/blend and as many finger foods as he can possibly handle.  Cheese, pears, banana bread and yogurt are among his favorites now.  He's nursing 4x/day.

-He gives kisses, waves bye-bye, shakes his head 'no-no' and does lots of babbling that sounds a lot like 'da-da'.  (Shoot!  I'm sure 'mama' isn't far behind?)  He clicks his tongue, makes a kissing sound and just started making a windy horse sound with his lips flapping together.

-He's taking two two-hour naps each day, goes down at night around 7:00/7:30 and sleeps until 5:30/6:00 a.m.  Good baby!!!

-He's a pretty good shopper and is most content in the store riding in the Ergo carrier while his sister rides in the cart.



His top teeth are huge!

Budding Artist

Marin has really been entertaining herself lately by drawing in her notebooks and on this MagnaDoodle board.  This was a picture that she drew of herself and her teacher, Mrs. B.  I love these little 'potato people' drawings!

Cruising Around

It's a whole new ballgame for us now that this little man is pulling up and cruising around the house.  He loves his newfound freedom and is happiest when he's following his sister and pulling up on his toys.

He's very sure-footed already which means he'll be running soon…and so will I!

Cruisin'…he's so fast!

He's very serious when he's checking things out and has a very good little pincher grasp.

His hair is starting to curl in the back just like Marin's did.  I hope he keeps them!

Here's Marin at the same age as Sloany…she had no teeth, wasn't crawling and she LOVED bouncing in her exersaucer.  Sloan won't even entertain the thought of being put in this contraption.  He has no time for such 'baby' toys and prefers to be down on the floor banging on the cabinets, climbing in the dishwasher, splashing in the dog's water bowl or pulling goodies out of the cupboards.  It's interesting that a little person can have such strong preferences!   It's so fun to see both of their personalities develop!

Marin also loved playing in the pack-n-play at this age.

Husker Power!

Dare I say summer is behind us??  I'm thrilled that it's cooling off, but the changing season also means Husker Football Saturdays!  Woop!
