One Month Old

Our first month together just flew.  At Sloan's one month check-up, he weighed 10 pounds 8.5 ounces.  He likes to stay up late until about 11 p.m. and wakes to eat typically around 3:00 a.m. and again 6:00 a.m.

Sleep and a Jeep

Nanny & Papa Cumberland gave Marin a fun little Jeep for Christmas!  She just loves it and it has been a great activity for her to cruise around our culdesac and be outdoors.  Fortunately, Sloan will sleep in the carrier and it allows me to chase Marin when we're outside.

Such a fun gift!  

If how she drives as a three year old is any indication of what her skills will be like when she's sixteen, we're in trouble!  She loves to go fast, make tight turns and spin the back wheels!  Most of all, she loves to pick up her 'boyfriend' next door and take him for a ride!  Oh my...

 

 

First Bath

Sloan's umbilical cord fell off on December 31 and his first bath followed shortly thereafter!

Marin had been waiting and waiting for this day so when the time finally arrived to bathe 'her' baby, she was right there!

He really enjoyed the water and was able to relax.

He was not so fond of the drying off process!

Once I got him dressed he was very content and could hardly keep his eyes open.

What's better than a sweet-smelling clean baby?  

 

Newborn Photos

Sloan performed beautifully for our sweet friend and photographer, Bridgette Bloomquist.  She cranked up the central heat, plugged in three space heaters and stripped down our little man!  He was pretty tolerant and relatively easy to pose until one of the very last shots when he exploded on one of Bridgette's blankets.  Oops!  How could you be mad at that sweet squishy face though??
