Setting her sites on Mary Lou?

Marin has been going to gymnastics at the YMCA since she was about 9 months old.  She loves it and I love watching her try new things.

Will she be the next Mary Lou Retton?  Probably not.  Can she tumble like there’s no tomorrow?  Absolutely.

Her most recent trick is flipping her legs over her head while hanging on the bars and then flipping backwards all the way over to land on her feet!  She figured that out nearly all by herself and when I try to help, she tells me, “Move Mama.”

Sugar and Spice

This weekend we finally got to meet the newest Cumberland…….Lily!  She’s soft, she’s snuggly, she makes sweet baby sounds and best of all, she doesn’t know how to say, ‘NO’ (yet)!!! 

Marin is still my ‘baby,’ but from the looks of these pictures, there’s no ‘baby’ left in my baby!  How did that happen?

I foresee these little cousins having lots of fun together in the future! 

Berry Sweet Friends

Marin and I took a little road trip with our sweet friends Miss Katie and Leah to Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls!

It was a hot day in the 90s—way too hot for April.  Despite the heat (and crazy dust), we all had a fun time.  The girls picked a whopping $5 worth of strawberries, enjoyed petting the goats, checked out the donkeys, picnicked together and ate a berry sweet treat.
